I've made this as a thank you for my mum. I was surprised as when I was making it, I felt quite moved! Anyway, here it is. I hope she likes it!

Summer ATC
Ooh I really don't like the English weather, though today hasn't been too bad. The sun has come out, though it's not warm. I wanted some sunshine, and to feel a bit of heat. Still, I settled for making this ATC instead :)
Hopefully this will make you feel summery too!

ATC - therapy for the hands and mind.
Yesterday, I had another biopsy. It has a small chance of being cancer. I've just had an op for cancer, so I'm a bit nervous about this biopsy.
I thought doing an ATC would take my mind off it.
It did help a bit :)

New ATC
Whew!!! What a week! I went back to working after being off for 9 weeks. Wow, talk about tired!
On the craft side, I managed to do the friendship card for swapping (can't put it up, she may see it!) and I've made an ATC, which I'm really pleased with, though I can't think what to call it.
Update!: this ATC was named by Joylovescrafts on the docrafts site! Perhaps I'll do another as a giveaway? What do you think? :)

A pinch and a punch :)
My mum bought me a fiskars punch for Christmas. It makes nice decorative corners, and I, eager to use it, punched the envolope my Christmas card came in. It got stuck!!! Well and truly!!! I was gutted... But Reg (my hubby) said he could fix it. Sooo out came the WD40 and the screwdriver! It took a few days, but he did it! I'm so pleased!! I've gone round testing it on all different papers :) I don't know who was more surprised, Reg or I that he fixed it :) anyway he has done it, so now I have a crafty Christmas present to use :)
A very surprised reg :) 😀

Why you should craft :)
Well, this question was asked. Here are my 5 points in answer:
1. It's fun! You can indulge your inner artist, child or just for the fun of making something.
2. It's a good diversion which can become a passion. When I was Ill last year, I needed something to take my mind off everything, and crafting fitted the bill!
3. It's productive. You have something to show for your time.
4. You can make new friends. I have found out that some of my friends make cards too. I didn't know before, but when I mentioned it.........!
5. It's calming and meditative. I can while away hours before I know it! :)

Docrafts and demonstrations :)
The other day I joined www.docrafts.co.uk site , so now I'm a member of a place where I can make friends. It's quite lonely crafting alone!
I also went to my first demonstration with a docrafts demonstrator today. I though I'd see different techniques etc but no, although I did talk to the demonstrator who explained some help regarding the x-cut machine, which I'd got for Christmas :) I'm really happy with it, more so after talking to the helpful demonstrator :)
I've started on the mini book. Pictures within the next few days :) so far, I'm really pleased with it :)
